The Housing Resource Center is a service of the Harris County Community and Economic Development Department. They provide referrals to Harris County residents on housing related information and community resources collected from all over Harris County, Texas. Their mission "is to assist Harris County's low- and moderate-income families and individuals in locating and maintaining safe, comfortable, and affordable homes by bridging the communication gap in housing information between the residents and non-profit services and other local organizations." The Housing Resource Center is the first stop for current information on Harris County's housing programs and services. They offer recorded information for housing and emergency assistance in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling (713) 578-2055.
